Most of people talk about the ways to get and improve
confidence in speaking; however they do not really worry about the problem
itself. Glossophobia, fear of speaking, and language anxiety, apprehension of
using a foreign language, are the most common problems that we, as foreign
language speakers, have not just talking to other people but in front of an
audience. These problems will be dealt with along all the presentation, while
the speaker relates them to his own experience as a shy speaker acquiring
confidence. A learning path will be presented as an alternative to overcome
shyness in order to show knowledge as a source of confidence. Traditional
techniques which include relaxation and control of the nerves when speaking
won’t be forgotten.
